Playwrights - Coventry

9th August 2009.
No web site.

This has to be one of the best places to eat in Coventry, short walk from Coventry Cathedral.
I have eaten here many times, for lunch... Coffee , soup and sandwich mmmmmmmmmmmm, cost around £5- £6 much better than going to starbucks!
Last year i spent new year here it was the only place that didn't double up in price, service and quality food.

I would recomend this resturant to anyone, sunday dinner, Birthdays etc. 2 course meal would set you back around £15.

The Loft Lounge Birmingham

June 13th 2009
http://www.theloftlounge.co.uk/

Just been to the theatre and was in need of some food, normally go to the Green Room in Birmingham, but since doing this blog i've been making myself go to different places.

The food in the loundge was good, then again i only had a burger, service was spot on! The waiter kept the cocktails coming!!! The Lounge did start to get packed full of people drinking, so if your looing for a quite place to eat after 7.30pm this would not be the best place. But before this time great for food and its nice chilled and relaxing.
Would i go again... Maybe

The Mock Turtle Tea Rooms Brighton

29th May 2009
Great sunny day by the sea side and off we went to the Mock Turtle for a spot of lunch. Its a real old fashioned tea room, with so many cakes in the window call you in to stop and eat one!
It was lucky we were in no rush, the waitress was pretty poor, i asked for Cheese toastie, and i got cheese sandwich. But i had to try a cake which had been looking at me all the time while waiting for my toastie!. It was worth the wait!! i ordered what must have been the biggest dougnut i have ever seen! My was it good.
Would i come here again... To eat in NO, to buy a take away dougnut Yes!

La Biga Rome Italy

12th May 2009
La Biga - I sat inside this cafe over looking the colosseum while eating pizza and drinking a bottle of beer.... Yes i was on holiday. The pizza cost 7 -10 euros, this little place is worth a visit good pizza great view of the colosseum.

News Cafe Rome Italy

11th May 2009.
News cafe is a short walk from Trevi fountain, I sat out side in the street eating my Club sandwich for 5 euros, taking in the rome life style. Coffee, food and then a short walk to the fountain. As the exchange rate was poor, this cafe was good value for money.
Would i go back.. I wouldn't rush back, but if i was passing and it was around lunch time i would pop in.

Paw Paw Leamington spa

Its Friday which can only mean one thing chinese.
Beef and black bean sauce with egg fried rice £3.70. mmmmmmmmmmmm

The beef is cooked so it melts in your mouth, the black bean is a little hot which could put some people off. I like to pick out the chili, this is only because i'm not a great fan of raw chili.

But once again Paw Paws have made my lunch time!

Cake & coffee @ M&S

Saturday 25th April

Marks and Spensors Coffee shop Arena Park Coventry.
After doing a little shopping at the Arena Park, i thought i would not have my normal coffee at Starbucks, but try M&S "why its not just coffee its ..... M&S coffee!" Coffee was good and alot better than starbuck, as it was the week end I also had cake... Victoria Sponge this was ok personally I like light sponge cake this was not light. But if you are the sort of person who likes heavy sponge this would be spot on for you. Would i go again Yes.

Paw Paw - Leamington Spa

24th April 09 http://www.pawpawgroup.com/home.php
Its Friday "whoop whoop" Just a short walk from our office is Paw Paw Chinese take away. Its has become a regual event to get Chinese from Paw Paw's and slowly we are working our way though the menu!! Today Chinese chicken curry not with rice as we normally do, but with chips.
I like the fact the kitchen is not behind a door, the open planned take away means you can watch your food being cooked. The best bonus of all is NO MSG.
Cost: lunch time price £3.40 & £290 for spring rolls. Would i go back again Hell Yeah!! Every friday lunch time!!
